In June I had the pleasure of being a part of blogger Sophie Hannah’s wedding day. She asked me to style her hair for her wedding day and was happy to film a tutorial with me for her to share on her social media and also on my online training academy. Sophie went for an inverted fishtail plaited up do with lots of hair framing her face. She made such a beautiful bride don’t you think?
Since launching the online training I’ve had lots of enquiries from people starting out about what kit they’ll need to become a hair styling goddess. I’ve put together a list of basic equipment you’ll need to get started. I’m sure lots of people have straighteners and a wand they already use – so there’s no need to buy another set just yet – obviously unless you want to treat yourself! Although, having a dolls head laying around is less likely 😉
Below are some links for the kit – but it’s worth having a shop around!
Welcome to my brand spanking new website! To keep in line with my styling my new website is clean and focuses on the hair and makeup I love to create.
The newest addition though is the Lisa Alger Academy, eeeekkkk exciting! This last year I have been working behind the scenes to put not only my two day training course online but also weekly videos with new techniques and inspiration. I truly hope the academy helps aspiring hair stylists and working hair stylists to develop their skills and build confidence. Go check it out, it’s only £15 per month…
Here’s a very boring post covering my terms and conditions which apply to all bookings. These will be sent out to all clients who book but I wanted to put a copy on here for everyone to access also. I’ve also added a pretty pic so that this doesn’t win awards for the worst blog post ever!
